Addressing signs of ageing

As we age the architecture of our skin deteriorates, which leads to fine lines, wrinkles, large pores and uneven skin texture. Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT), also known as microneedling, is a way to address these signs of aging.

SkinPen induces the wound healing process and stimulates the skin’s natural growth factors.

Increasing the epidermal thickness and tropoelastin content.

Acne Scarring

SkinPen Precision can treat acne scarring known as Ice pick scars, boxcar scars & rolling scars.

The Skinpen mechanically breaks down scar tissue. It activates cellular enzymes known as matrix

metalloproteinases, or MMPs.

By remodelling scar tissue through the proper deposition of collagen and elastin. SkinPen also addresses the brown discolorations, or post

inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH) associated with acne scars by stimulating the skin’s natural growth factors.

Enlarged Pores

Enlarged skin pores refer to conditions that present with visible topographic changes of skin surfaces.

Although not a medical concern, enlarged pores are a cosmetic concern for a large number of individuals.

Reorganization of old collagen fibres and laying down of new collagen, elastin, and capillaries leading to the effect of skin tightening & thickening of Epidermis.

Little more info

Collagen Induction Therapy is a minimally invasive procedure involving the movement of a pen-like device with an attached sterile, disposable cartridge tip containing small needles over the skin’s surface.

The microneedles puncture the skin and create tiny micro injuries that are not visible to the naked eye.

These tiny punctures stimulate tissue regeneration through the process called Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT) which improves the appearance of the skin

The process of CIT is instigated through the breaking of the old and damaged strands of collagen in target tissues via microneedling.

This leads to the production of new collagen, which improves the structure and function of the skin while improving its appearance

SkinPen can help with a number of skin concerns including

  • Fine lines & wrinkles

  • Acne Scarring

  • Enlarged Pores

  • Hyperpigmented patches & lesions

  • Pigmentation conditions

  • Stretch Marks & Surgical scars
